What is Kenta Iwamoto Online?+
A subscription site for Kenta Iwamoto's grappling instructionals. It centers on no-gi grappling, the kind you see at ADCC: mostly the techniques he teaches in class, plus sparring and match breakdowns.
What kind of videos are there?+
Over 600 videos, about 60 hours (as of October 2026). Roughly: 440 technique lessons from class, 60 breakdowns of matches and sparring, 45 talks on how to train and think, 30 sparring rounds, and 25 seminar and mini-series videos. The average video is 6 minutes and two in three are under 5, just right for checking one technique before training. There are also 39 longer videos over 15 minutes, up to 71.
Who is it for?+
Counting what's in the library (as of October 2026), it suits you if you:
· train no-gi grappling (ADCC rules and similar). Under 1 in 10 videos mention the gi
· want depth on finishing. 160 videos on submission offense, with 55 on heel hooks and 42 on ankle locks
· want to sharpen how you start from standing. About 150 standing videos
· like to check one technique quickly before or after training. A-B repeat, speed control and mirror let you loop it
· want to learn in English. Japanese and English subtitles, plus English dubs
Which techniques are covered most?+
Standing is deep, about 150 videos, with wrestling and Greco elements. On the ground, leg locks (55 heel hook, 42 ankle lock) and back and turtle (over 100 each) lead. Outside ashi, K guard and 50/50 are the most common guards; smash pass, split squat and north-south the most common passes (as of October 2026).
How are the videos organized?+
Every video is tagged along eight axes: category (class, commentary, sparring and so on), situation (submission offense and defense, standing, guard passing and more), phase of engagement, and competition (ADCC, AIGA and others). Then by technique: 17 submissions, 5 pins (back, turtle, mount and more), 17 guard passes and 26 guards. In the library you narrow down with these tags and search.
How often are videos added?+
Over the past year, about 28 videos a month (6 to 7 a week). When Kenta posts a new video, a twice-daily automatic check brings it into this site, with Japanese and English subtitles and tags added automatically. The site itself improves almost every week too; see What's new below.
Are there subtitles?+
Yes. Almost every video has both Japanese and English subtitles, and 276 of the Japanese-speaking videos are on the English site too. New videos get them automatically. If you spot a mistake, send it from Report in the player and it is applied automatically.
Is there an English dub?+
Yes, on 390 of the videos where Kenta speaks Japanese. Pick "English (Dubbed)" in the player's subtitle menu. New videos get dubs as they come in.
Is it OK for beginners?+
Yes. The fundamentals are covered, and you can ask whenever something is unclear.
Can I ask questions?+
Yes, without limit, in the forum inside the site. Questions and answers are visible to all members. Posts are translated between Japanese and English automatically, so write in either language.
What is different from Patreon?+
Same price, same videos. If Patreon is easier for you, watch there. What I built here are tools for learning: search by position, technique and competition, Japanese and English subtitles, English dubs, A-B repeat, mirror mode, speed control, timestamped notes, your own playlists, and an Android app that saves videos to your phone. If that difference appeals to you, join here.
How much is it?+
¥2,300 / month (about $15). Cancel anytime.
How can I pay?+
Credit card only. Payments are processed by Stripe, the global standard for online payments. Your card details are never stored on this site.
Can I watch on my phone?+
Yes. It works in the browser on PC, phone and tablet. On iPhone, "Add to Home Screen" runs it full screen like an app (how).
Is there an app?+
Yes, "SubPro Player" for Android (Google Play). Open it, pick Kenta Iwamoto Online and sign in with your usual account. You can save videos to your phone and watch them with no signal (for 30 days after saving). The iPhone version is in Apple's review.
